Environmental impact assessment of mining operation scenarios
As part of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of a mining operation, we were responsible for evaluating the climate impacts and GHG emissions of different operational scenarios.
We were also asked to analyze different climate impact mitigation approaches, and to develop a strategy to manage and compensate GHG emissions, mainly through rehabilitating the areas that were affected by the project (feasibility of rehabilitation projects, reforestation of affected areas). This strategy is at the heart of the mine’s sustainable development and social responsibility strategy, for which we also create communication tools for local communities, investors, and other stakeholders.
