Development of GHG emissions management training

With a view to knowledge transfer and training of current executives, the Collège de Shawinigan and the Centre National en Électrochimie et en Technologies Environnementales have created the Institut du carbone et de l’efficacité énergétique (IC2E). This institute is dedicated to the training of carbon management practitioners. In order to allow the greatest number of managers to take part in training, IC2E offers online training. The IC2E offers the 250-hour “Carbon Manager Training” program leading to the professional designation: “CCO-Chief Carbon Officer”.

NEL-i was called upon to participate in order to plan the training program, develop course content, as well as deliver training sessions as part of the college training program for professionals and extra-curricular sessions. Courses included all elements of GHG emissions and climate change management. David Beaudoin, Executive Vice President of NEL-i, acted as the lead technical expert for the training program.
